RCR is at Long Weekend Havana every Sunday in January — we’ll be offering two hours of classes and open dancing. Here’s the schedule:

3:00pm Doors Open

4:30 - 5:30pm Cuban Salsa Classes — Level 1 and Level 3

Sidney’s Salsa Workout IS STILL ON at MNC, now from 11:00am to 12:00pm on Sundays. Please check the classes page, our schedule, and join our email list (bottom of page) for updates.

RCR is excited to host another live dance party with Salsabrosos, directed by Alonso Marco Valle.

Before the live music we will offer our regular Friday night classes. Here's the complete schedule:

Registration for the above classes will open the previous Saturday (6 days before).

We will still be offering our regular 7:30pm class at ODC (as we do every Friday):

FRIDAY AT ODC, 7:30 - 8:30pm Cuban Salsa & Rueda (Level 1) — To register please visit the ODC website, then scroll down to the calendar and select the date and then the class. ODC is located at 351 Shotwell St.

We are excited to be hosting Roberto Borrell for a special two-hour workshop at Long Weekend Havana — dancing Son and Cha-Cha-Chá to Son Montuno music. The workshop is open to all dancers and will take the place of RCR’s regular classes that day. Social dancing will happen after the class as usual until 9:00pm, timba mixed with Son Montuno with DJ Ritmo.

Born and raised in Cuba, Roberto Borrell began his career in dance with the Conjunto Folklórico Nacional in Havana at the age of 18. With more than 55 years of teaching experience and a lifetime of knowledge of about both Afro-Cuban and Cuban Popular music, Roberto is a master percussionist, dancer, and teacher, and an invaluable resource to dancers and musicians in the Bay Area.
